Inspired by the music of Miles Davis, Prince and Weather Report studied musician J. Peter Schwalm formed Slop Shop in 1993 and released his first maxi ?My Love Is Higher? on INFRACom! the same year. J. Peter Schwalm then formed his own label Poets Club Records on which he released 1998 his debut album Makrodelia.
Slop Shop? being traded as an insider-tip in Europe and North America has released three LPs so far. In 1998, it was also Slop Shop?s ambient-jazz, with facets of electronic music, which thrilled Brian Eno so much that the direct result was a live performance in Bonn with a very rare and unique constellation: Holger Czukay, Brian Eno and Slop Shop. This was the beginning of a long-term collaboration between Brian Eno and J.Peter Schwalm. Over the last four years, J. Peter Schwalm has published two albums with Brian Eno, He moved to Barcelona some time ago, where he produced his new album ?Musikain?, which will be released in spring 2005.
