Megashira are DJ Kabuki and his partner Mainframe.

Kabuki is a veteran DJ of Germany?s drum&bass scene and a high-profile producer who constantly releases on the most exclusive international labels. He was brought up as a classical guitarist, studying composition and abandoning everything for the thrill of electronic music, on a mission to cut the perfect beat and construct the ideal bassline. Except for music ranging from Steve Reich to John Barry, his heart belongs to the Asian cinema and martial arts. He lived in Tokyo for a couple of years, working as a sound designer and composer for sony Playstation, and is still visiting there more then once a year. Sound design and audio engineering are Mainframe?s weapon of choice, whether it means analysing, processing or manipulating, there?s a strict quality control to everything that passes through his hands. Applying these skills to drum&bass productions is his main task, 24-7.

In the mean time, Kabuki is not only a big name in drum&bass: his star has risen far beyond. Through co-productions with Vikter Duplaix and Cleveland Watkiss, releases with labels like Sonar Kollektiv and Reinforced and last but not least his remixes for various artists like f. e. Sabrina Setlur or Rocker?s Hi-Fi proved Kabuki's wide range of interests.
