D&B meets Classic This thrilling extraordinary event will be later published on DVD

The Duesseldorf Symphonic Orchestra has invited the drum n bass group Phoneheads to give a joint concert. On the occasion of the 10 year jubilee of the Phoneheads, drum&bass and symphonic sounds will be played and mixed live for the first time. As many as 45 musicians will be performing on the prestigious stage of the Tonhalle Duesseldorf, playing tracks that were specially written in order to connect these different sound spheres and to make the common ground audible ? which many wouldn`t expect.

Illustrious guests join the Phoneheads, Philipp Maiburg and Michael Scheibenreiter, and The Duesseldorf Symphonic Orchestra: singer Cleveland Wattkiss from Great Britain (who wasn`t only successful as solo artist but also in cooperations with Talvin Singh, Goldie, Stevie Wonder and Pete Townsend), drummer Sebastian Vogel of the Hamburg band "Kante", pianist Volker Bertelmann, well-known through bands and projects like Hauschka, Music A.M. and Tonetraeger and finally bassist Frank Schwiklewski, a special friend of the Phoneheads.

All parties hereto are fascinated by engaging in a different musical cosmos and by the conjoint search for new sounds. At march 14, 2007 the idea becomes reality and on the stage of the big hall of the Tonhalle, a nationwide unique experiment will take place. Old friends and new acquaintances will meet on the podium and in the audience in D?sseldorf and they will welcome everybody else in a world of new opportunities. This thrilling, technically challenging and extraordinary event will be filmed and at a later date published on DVD.
