Jhelisa at the New Orleans Jazz Fest and back in Europe
returning for festival and club gigs

Jhelisa performed at the Jazz and Heritage Festival in New Orleans again. Read what the Chicago Tribunementions about her:

"New Orleans transplant Jhelisa Anderson emerged as one of the most striking voices of the fest, her tribute to Nina Simone honoring the great diva without merely mimicking her. The throaty low notes and soaring high tones, the hisses, snarls and rumbles that Anderson slathered on "I Put a Spell on You" and various songs of liberation proved that Cassandra Wilson isn't the only contemporary female singer who can walk a perilously fine line between pop and jazz."
You can also see her in europe this summer. Check out the dates section for her appereance in the Netherlands, UK, Germany and Austria. More gigs in Europe and the USA are in preparation for autumn this year.
